Carson, an apparently ordinary person, participates in a scientific experiment with the goal of using the compensation money to treat his medical condition. The experiment involves testing a new AI system called ARI, which acts as a therapist to assist people. When Carson begins chatting with ARI, he has the opportunity to learn new information. However, during the experiment, the AI therapist delves too deeply and exacerbates Carson's condition. Filled with rage and confusion, Carson storms out of the experiment without taking the money.
